Jolee & Matt – Married!!

A beautiful summer day, a gorgeous bride, handsome groom, great family & friends, and unbelievable details – Jolee & Matt’s wedding had all of these things, and it was fabulous! Jolee & Matt got married at Jolee’s parents’ home in Forsyth, GA. You might recognize them from their engagement photos posted a little while back.

I have to give big props, thumbs up, applause, cheers, and hoorays to a couple of my favorite vendors who did a fantastic job on this wedding. We seriously had the dream team at this wedding! First, Carmen Johnston of Nectar & Co did an AMAZING job on the flowers…she also put some really cool antique pieces to use. Collaborating with Jolee & her mom, she used vintage desks, tables, stained glass windows, egg cups, and more to decorate the space. Totally gorgeous! Secondly, Lisa Shepley of Lisa Mae Cakes created a gorgeous cake complete with fresh flowers and butterflies made from gumpaste. Third, Natalia’s did a fantastic job catering – the food was delicious! Last but not least, the Hudson Road Band did a great job keeping the crowd partying all night!

Here are a couple of collages showing some of the gorgeous details at this wedding:

Now, for a few of our favorite images from the day!  It was a HOT…and I do mean HOT day, so we did some of Jolee’s portraits inside.  I loved the way this one turned out – so classic!

The home of Jolee’s parents made for a beautiful location !

I loved this image Kenneth captured during the reception!

Of course, we had to do some night shots!

And now for the slideshow!!

Jolee & Matt – we loved working with you and both of your families!  It was such a pleasure, and we can’t wait to share the rest of your images with you!  Coming soon!

Heather & Andy – Day After Session!

More of Heather & Andy as promised!  The day after Heather & Andy’s wedding, we all got up bright and early and went out to take pictures at some spots that are meaningful for them.  The first was Minnehaha Falls.  The falls are close to Lake Rabun where they got married, and they actually got engaged in front of the falls!  Coincidentally, Minnehaha is special to us as well…we visited there on our honeymoon!

After we finished up at the falls, we drove around the lake to the home that Andy’s grandparents own on Lake Rabun.  Heather & Andy spent a lot of time together there, so we took pictures on the boat dock, and around the property.

Heather & Andy – we had a fantastic time spending your wedding weekend with you both!  Thank you again for choosing us to document your wonderful wedding!

Much love,

Heather & Kenneth

Heather and Andy are a beautiful couple and the photos are AMAZING!

Maggie & Jason – Married!

We had the pleasure of photographing Maggie & Jason’s wedding right here in Macon, Georgia.  They got married at Ingleside Baptist Church, with the fabulous Mrs. Jayne Sawyer-Smith coordinating. Their reception was at Le Piada. Mike Whiddon did a fabulous job on the flowers and food. Maggie & Jason were a lot of fun to work with, as were their family & friends. So, on with the pictures!

First, let me just say that I was obsessed with the back of Maggie’s dress, and the simple lily in her hair was perfect!

The light inside the chapel was beautiful!

Maggie & Jason are just so cute together!!

Here is a collage with a few details!  The gorgeous (and tasty) cake was done by our friend Amanda of Amanda’s Cakery!

Maggie & Jason, thank you both for choosing us to capture your wedding day!

Much love to all!

Kenneth & Heather

Heather & Andy – Married!!

We had the honor of photographing Heather & Andy’s gorgeous wedding on Lake Rabun near Clayton, Georgia.  If you haven’t ever been to Lake Rabun, it is a lovely community of lake homes nestled in the North Georgia mountains, and it made for a perfect setting for Heather & Andy’s wedding.  The ceremony was held by the dock of a farmhouse, and the reception was held at the open air Lake Rabun Pavilion, operated by The Lake Rabun Hotel.

I just can’t say enough about this wedding…the stunning details (and the yummy food) were done by Epting Events out of Athens, GA. I loved the color palette of cream, yellow, and blue that Heather chose, and I also loved that each of the bouquets had the bride’s & bridesmaids’ initials monogrammed on the ribbon wrapped around the bouquet . The hydrangeas, roses, and thistles just fit perfectly into the organic feel of the location. The reception details also included logs, lanterns, moss, river rocks, candles and more flowers.

Here is a collage showing off a few of the details (more to be seen in the slideshow below!):

What I loved even more than the details, though, were Heather & Andy themselves!  They were just a joy to work with, and their friends and family were the same.  Heather & Andy decided to see each other prior to the ceremony for portraits, and we got some sweet images of their ‘First Look’ including this one:

I couldn’t resist climbing up above in the boat house to catch this image of Andy lounging on the dock…and don’t you just love his Ralph Lauren suit, complete with bow tie, suspenders, and argyle socks?  Too awesome!

Not to be outdone by Andy’s debonaire looks, Heather was beeeaaaauuuutiful in her Priscilla of Boston gown.  Don’t they look fantastic together?

Heather & Andy were showered with flower petals as they walked back up the aisle following the ceremony…cute idea!

After the ceremony we got the whole bridal party together for this fun photo on the dock:

Then we moved on to the reception, where Heather & Andy showed off their dance moves…they did a fantastic choreographed dance, sunglasses included!

After their dance, The Grapevine provided great entertainment for the rest of the night!  Kenneth caught this next sequence, and we just loved these two images!

Heather & Andy finished off the night by running through sparklers and then….

…exiting the reception in an antique Chris Craft boat!

Now for the slide show!

Coming soon – Heather & Andy’s ‘Day After’ session…waterfalls and boat docks!

Heather & Andy, thank you both SO MUCH for choosing us to photograph your wedding!  We loved every minute of it!

Much love to all,

Heather & Kenneth Mason

Jennifer & Ross – Married!!

We were so thrilled to photograph this wedding a few weeks ago!  Jennifer & Ross got married right here in beautiful Macon, GA.  Their ceremony was at First Christian Church, with the reception at one of our favorite venues, The Blacksmith Shop. We met Jennifer & Ross through Logan, who was the maid of honor in Kelli & Zack’s wedding back in 2007  (I would post a link, but it was on our old blog). Logan ended up coordinating the wedding for Jennifer & Ross, and did a fantastic job. It’s always nice for us to see familiar faces at our weddings!  This was an awesome wedding for two simple reasons – Jennifer and Ross.  They were so calm, friendly, and such a pleasure to work with, and their friends and family were the same way.   It was the kind of wedding that went so smoothly, and was so stress-free that I was barely tired after 8 hours of shooting.

Ok, now, on with the pictures! Here are a few of our favorites, and a slide show with more images is below!

First up, a couple of collages with some of our favorite portraits!

We LOVED this picture from Jennifer & her Dad’s dance…they had practiced a dance step, and it was so sweet!

The outside courtyard area of the Blacksmith Shop makes a great location for one of our favorite things – night portraits!

Kenneth took this AMAZING image as Jennifer & Ross were making their big leave.  The guests were blowing bubbles, and all of the bubbles look like little stars.

Here is the slideshow with many more images from Jennifer & Ross’ fabulous wedding!

Jennifer & Ross – thank you both so much for choosing us to photograph your special day!  We loved working with you guys!

Much love,

Heather & Kenneth

Becky & Quentin – Married!!

We had the pleasure of photographing Becky & Quentin’s sweet Warner Robins, Georgia wedding a few weeks ago. It was a gorgeous spring day, with a gorgeous couple! Becky & Quentin got married at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Warner Robins, and then had their reception at the Warner Robins Conference Center. We had a great time working with Nancy Berry from Berry Nice Productions who did a fantastic job planning the wedding, and Becky’s mom Ruthie made sure that there were so many sweet touches at the wedding!

So, on with the images! And something new – a built in slide show on the blog! Hope you guys enjoy the new format!

Here are a few of our favorite images!

Becky & Quentin, thank you so much for sharing your day with us!  It was pleasure working with you and your friends and family!
