Shannon & Matthew – Married!

On a gorgeous November day, we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Shannon and Matthew in Dawson, GA.  Shannon had everything so well planned, the whole day went like clockwork.  It was a joy to work with this couple and their families.  We loved all of the gorgeous details featuring their monogram.  Kay Thompson did a fabulous job on the flowers, so if any of my south Georgia brides want her info, let me know!

Megan & Keith – Portrait!

We had so much fun photographing this portrait session for Megan & Keith!  These two are recent transplants to Georgia and are also recently married, and wanted some nice portraits of themselves since they didn’t have a professional wedding photographer.  We were happy to take care of that for them!  There was a lot of laughter during this session.  The only problem?  I could have just stood around talking with them rather than taking their pictures!  Turns out that we have a lot in common with these guys.  I always love photographing people who are also the kind of people we enjoy hanging out with!

My new favorite photo spot…now, I just have to find it again!  The hazard with driving around and randomly pulling over for photo ops!

This was another one of those “Kenneth!!  Stop the car!!  Look at the light!!” kind of moments :D   One day we’re going to get run over doing this, but…oh well!  We have to suffer for our art, I guess!

Something new I’ve been experimenting with – adding textures to pictures.  I think it gives a nice organic, aged look to the image!  What do you think?  Feel free to leave me a comment with your opinion!

Jacqueline & Henry – Married!

We were honored to be able to photograph this intimate wedding!  Jacqueline and Henry got married on what turned out to be (after a threat of nasty weather) a gorgeous fall afternoon.  We were thrilled to go to Augusta, GA to be at the event.  The wedding was held at the gorgeous home of Jacqueline’s aunt Mary and was filled with personalized touches, including her veil that was made by hand by her mother, Jenny.

The night before the wedding, we were also thrilled to eat at one of our favorite restaurants – the French Market Grille in Augusta.  If you’re ever there, be sure to stop by and grab a bite!  There were many oysters and crawfish involved in our evening, and I was surprised that I was able to feel my lips the next day!

We’re trying something a bit new here, so let us know how you like it!  Rather than posting tons of images directly in the blog, we’ll post a few here, and then we put together a short slideshow to show off some of our favorite images!

Winter WedComp Time!

It’s that time again!  You might remember that Kenneth won 3rd place in the ceremony category of WedComp a couple of months ago with this awesome image from Kelli & Zack’s wedding.

So, it’s time for us to start picking out images to submit!  If you’ve seen anything here on the blog or in our galleries that has caught your eye and you think we should enter, leave us a comment! I’m definitely entering this image from Jenna & Adam’s wedding!

I have officially joined the wide wacky world of Twitter!  Am I the only one reminded of the movie Bambi and all of the animals being twitterpated everytime I hear ‘Twitter’?  Probably – I’m just special like that! :D
