Nikki & Steven – Married!!

We were thrilled to photograph Nikki & Steven’s wedding a few weeks ago!  Nikki was a bridesmaid in Laura & Bo’s wedding back in April, and it’s always so much fun for us to photograph a wedding where we already know quite a few people – especially the bride!  So, on a gorgeous fall day, we went down to Americus, GA to photograph their wedding.  Nikki & Steven got married at First Baptist Church of Americus and had their reception at the club house at Southland Ridge.

So,  on with the pictures! As always, click on the link at the end of the post to see more pictures in the slideshow from Nikki & Steven’s wedding!

I love this getting ready image!

Nikki & Steven decided to see each other before the wedding for portraits, and during their first look, Kenneth caught this sweet picture of Steven wiping away one of Nikki’s tears.  AWWW!

Kenneth caught this great shot of Nikki cracking up…I think this totally shows Nikki’s awesome personality – she was a ray of sunshine all day!

Nikki and Steven were total troopers and trekked around the pond so we could get this super cool reflection!

This next shot…well, this is what happens when I say to a group of groomsmen that I want them to look totally BAD AND MACHO, and they tell me that it would be better with their guns.  Oh. Okay.  Let’s do it!  I didn’t realize that they meant that they ALL had guns in their vehicles hahaha!  There was an arsenal at this wedding!  If a deer happened to come out of the woods at this point, it would have been in BIG trouble! :D

A big bridal party makes for great photo opportunities!

Kenneth was hiding up on the stage at the church behind the piano, and caught this great moment.  Nikki and Steven were both glowing right after their first kiss!

NikkiSteven0070NikkiSteven0079Nikki & Steven, it was such a pleasure to work with you both and your family and friends!  Kenneth and I have decided that we could happily shoot a wedding in Americus every weekend because everyone is so warm and friendly!  Thank you so much for entrusting your memories to us!

Much love,

Becky & Quentin – Engaged!

A few weeks ago,  I had the chance to photograph Becky & Quentin’s engagement session.  I went down to Warner Robins and met up with Becky & Quentin at Becky’s parent’s house.  They have a really gorgeous wooded backyard, and it made for an awesome backdrop for the start of our session.

After we wrapped up at their house, we headed over to Becky & Quentin’s old stomping ground – Warner Robin’s High School.  They went to High School together, so there were a lot of memories in the building…plus, Quentin is a HUGE Demon’s football fan.  So, it was the perfect spot to take more shots of the lovebirds together.  I have to admit, when we first pulled up, the front of the building wasn’t exactly inspiring me…I was trying to figure out what in the world I was going to do to make this shoot incredible…just using the exterior of a high school.  But, I think it all came together quite well!

I spotted this crosswalk going over the street and thought it might have possibilities, and boy was I right….I love these!

Look out – this next shot is SMOKIN HOT!

We finally found an open entrance to get onto the football practice field, and found some sweeeeeeet light there as well.

Lauren & Stephen – Engaged!

We were super excited to photograph Lauren & Stephen’s engagement session a few weeks ago.  We met them through Samantha and Jordan (thanks Sammi and Jordan!) and can’t wait to photograph their wedding next November!  Coincidentally, they are getting married on our anniversary…it’s a great wedding date!
We headed down to Perry, GA to meet up with Lauren & Stephen.  They both grew up in the area, and so did Kenneth,  so this was a lot of fun.  When we were leaving Macon to head to Perry, the sky was dark and gray and we were afraid we were going to get rained out, but the storm clouds parted for us, and we ended up with an incredible sunset!

Stephen decided that he needed to climb this tree….and well, we just couldn’t argue with him! :D

Baby Bailie – Portrait!

Jenna and Adam are becoming regulars on the blog…with their engagement, wedding, and maternity sessions already featured, we are happy to add the newest addition to the family to the mix! Jenna and Adam brought two week old Bailie up to Macon for us to photograph her. I LOVE photographing newborns. They are so tiny, and cute, and sweet and cuddly. Bailie was no exception, and is a gorgeous baby – she definitely got good genetics from her beautiful mom and handsome dad.

So, meet Bailie!

Don’t her gorgeous eyes just make your heart melt??

Bailie got a little unhappy at one point, and this pouty face was just too cute!

Adam’s brother Josh passed away a while back, and he had this tattoo done in his honor.  He wanted a picture of Bailie with the tattoo.  I loved the way this one turned out!

Kenneth caught this sweet moment between Jenna and Bailie.  There’s nothing like a mother’s love!

bailienewborn0096

Jenna & Adam – thank you guys so much for making the trek to Macon from Valdosta for us to photograph Miss B!  It’s always an honor to be a part of our client’s lives and to  document each change and addition to the family.

Much love to all!

Samantha & Jordan – Married!!

We were thrilled to photograph Samantha & Jordan’s super personal and unique wedding a few weeks ago! They had their ceremony at The Mansion on Forsyth Park in beautiful Savannah, GA. They then had a wedding brunch at The Lady & Sons (alas there were no Paula Deen sightings, but I was hoping!).

Samantha & Jordan booked us about a year and a half in advance of their wedding, so we’ve gotten to know them pretty well in that time – gotta love Facebook! Samantha and I bonded over our love of turquoise, mexican food, and animals, and of course, our red hair!

There were so many personalized details about this wedding…a note for brides – don’t be afraid to make your wedding whatever you want it to be.  Samantha and Jordan chose to march to the beat of their own drummer, and created a wedding day that was 100% unabashedly THEM.  We loved every second of it!  I jokingly call Samantha my ‘Etsy Bride’.  She used a ton of handmade details…either made by Etsy sellers, or some things she even made herself. They had a Sunday morning wedding, saw each other before the ceremony for us to photograph their First Look and take some portraits, wrote their own ceremony and vows, and then had a super simple reception that involved a lot of fried chicken y’all!  There were funny speeches – I seriously want to adopt all of their friends…especially groomswoman (that’s right – groomswoman!) Leslie who, as her speech, chose to recite the ‘Mawidge, mawidge is what bwings us togewer towday’ line from The Princess bride.  Purely awesome!  After their reception, we had TWO HOURS (thank you Samantha and Jordan!) to take more images at The Mansion and Forysth Park, and then we headed down to River Street for some fun as well.  One thing that they chose to do that was really cool  – they had their closest friends stick around for some pictures as a group…and there was a Nerf gun war.  Yes, I said Nerf gun war.  All of the grooms..people :D received Nerf guns as gifts.  Too fun!

Ok, I could talk about this wedding all day long, but I’m guessing you want to see pictures, right?!  So, here you go:

The room at The Mansion was a gorgeous spot for getting ready images!

This marble wall was a stunning backdrop for pictures!

I just love a bride and groom who are willing to go into a bar to get a cool shot.  This was taken in Wet Willy’s on River Street (one guess about how I knew about this wall of mirrors! haha!).

Samantha and Jordan – thank you both so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day! We can’t wait to show you the rest of the images!

Much love to all!
