Heather & Andy – Married!!

We had the honor of photographing Heather & Andy’s gorgeous wedding on Lake Rabun near Clayton, Georgia.  If you haven’t ever been to Lake Rabun, it is a lovely community of lake homes nestled in the North Georgia mountains, and it made for a perfect setting for Heather & Andy’s wedding.  The ceremony was held by the dock of a farmhouse, and the reception was held at the open air Lake Rabun Pavilion, operated by The Lake Rabun Hotel.

I just can’t say enough about this wedding…the stunning details (and the yummy food) were done by Epting Events out of Athens, GA. I loved the color palette of cream, yellow, and blue that Heather chose, and I also loved that each of the bouquets had the bride’s & bridesmaids’ initials monogrammed on the ribbon wrapped around the bouquet . The hydrangeas, roses, and thistles just fit perfectly into the organic feel of the location. The reception details also included logs, lanterns, moss, river rocks, candles and more flowers.

Here is a collage showing off a few of the details (more to be seen in the slideshow below!):

What I loved even more than the details, though, were Heather & Andy themselves!  They were just a joy to work with, and their friends and family were the same.  Heather & Andy decided to see each other prior to the ceremony for portraits, and we got some sweet images of their ‘First Look’ including this one:

I couldn’t resist climbing up above in the boat house to catch this image of Andy lounging on the dock…and don’t you just love his Ralph Lauren suit, complete with bow tie, suspenders, and argyle socks?  Too awesome!

Not to be outdone by Andy’s debonaire looks, Heather was beeeaaaauuuutiful in her Priscilla of Boston gown.  Don’t they look fantastic together?

Heather & Andy were showered with flower petals as they walked back up the aisle following the ceremony…cute idea!

After the ceremony we got the whole bridal party together for this fun photo on the dock:

Then we moved on to the reception, where Heather & Andy showed off their dance moves…they did a fantastic choreographed dance, sunglasses included!

After their dance, The Grapevine provided great entertainment for the rest of the night!  Kenneth caught this next sequence, and we just loved these two images!

Heather & Andy finished off the night by running through sparklers and then….

…exiting the reception in an antique Chris Craft boat!

Now for the slide show!

Coming soon – Heather & Andy’s ‘Day After’ session…waterfalls and boat docks!

Heather & Andy, thank you both SO MUCH for choosing us to photograph your wedding!  We loved every minute of it!

Much love to all,

Heather & Kenneth Mason
