Jenna & Adam – Belly Session!

So, this gorgeous couple might look a little familiar to everyone. We had the pleasure of photographing their wedding last fall, and we had been anticipating this session since Jenna first told me that she was pregnant several months ago!  Now we’re looking forward to the birth of their daughter, Bailie!

First, we did some studio shots of Jenna.

Isn’t Jenna one of the most gorgeous pregnant women you’ve ever seen!?!!?!

Then we brought Adam in for a few cute studio portraits of them together!

After a quick wardrobe change, we headed to a couple of cool outdoor locations!

Jenna & Adam – thanks so much for making the trek to Macon and having us photograph you guys!  We can’t wait for little Bailie to get here so she can make her photographic debut as well!!

Much love to all,

Heather & Kenneth

Jessica & Eric – Married!

You might recognize this oh so gorgeous couple from their engagement session a little while back.  A few weeks ago we were excited to head down to Americus, Georgia to photograph their wedding.  We knew their wedding was going to be fun, and we weren’t disappointed!  I have to say that this was one of the most fun bridal parties we’ve had (more on that later).  Jessica put a lot of thought into all of the details for her wedding day, and it really showed.  They had some neat things that I loved, like a gelato cart outside during the reception, a cute candy table, and the flowers were beautiful!  I also loved the fact that Jessica and her mother, Lynne, used every bit of Lynne’s wedding veil for the wedding; Jessica’s veil, the lace decorating the cake table, and also the lace wrapped around Jessica’s bouquet were all made from parts of Lynne’s veil.  Little touches like that are what make weddings so special!  The wedding ceremony was at the First Baptist Church of Americus and the reception was at the Lee Council House.

Now, on with the pictures!  As always, check out their slideshow link at the end of the post!

Jessica got ready in a gorgeous bedroom in the Lee Council House.  I loved this shot of her adjusting her veil in the antique mirror!

Jessica & Eric chose to see each other before the ceremony for portraits.  We LOVE it when couples do that, and Jessica and Eric both agreed that they were happy they decided to do a First Look!  This shot…*sigh*….the look on Eric’s face…*aaawwww*.  Oh, and also take note of the completely awesome hairstyle Jessica is wearing.  I’m pretty sure this was my favorite wedding hair-do of all time.  The antique pins in her hair are actually a brooch and earrings that belonged to her grandmother…beautiful!

The stained glass windows inside the Lee Council House were soooo beautiful.  When the sun hit them, it almost looked like they were on fire.

Remember how I said that this was a really fun bridal party??  I have to tell the story about this next picture.  Right before we began taking the formal pictures of the bridesmaids, one of the girls got us in on a little prank they wanted to pull on Jessica.  They wanted us to get her out in front of them so she couldn’t see what they were doing, and then they put tinfoil over their teeth – totally gangsta! LOL  Jessica was standing there smiling prettily into the camera and her girls were going crazy behind her!  We asked Jessica how well she really knew these people, and told her she might want to take a look behind her.  After some pretty comical shock, Jessica ended up getting into the act herself and giving us a shiny grin (check out the slideshow to see that!).  Here is an unsuspecting Jessica with her crazy fun bridesmaids!

*side note* Don’t you love the dresses!?!?  I think Jessica has excellent taste in colors for obvious reasons! ;)

Kenneth managed to tuck himself behind a piano up on the stage during the ceremony and grab some awesome images up close.  We don’t get to do that very often because of church rules, or the way the stage is set up, but this worked out perfectly!  I couldn’t see him from the back of the church, and even the bridesmaids on the stage said that they didn’t know where he was!  He is a photo ninja! haha!

I’m not sure that Jessica and Eric knew what they were in for when they handed out streamers to go along with the bubbles for their grand exit.  By the time they got to the end of the stairs, they could barely walk because they were so tangled in the streamers.  But it made for some really COOL pictures!  I loved it!

Jessica and Eric – we can’t wait to show you guys the rest of your images!  Thank you both so much for choosing us to document your wedding day!

Much love to all!

Baby Harlow – Portrait!

Last August we had the privilege of photographing Ashley and Stephen’s wedding, and then we were thrilled to hear that they were expecting a little one!  Last week we had the chance to get together with them – they drove all the way from Valdosta for us to photograph their new bundle of joy!  We were so happy to see them again and to meet their new bundle of joy, Harlow.

Before we got started with the studio session, Stephen and Harlow were hanging out on our couch, and Kenneth got this cute shot!

I think this next one is my favorite from the whole shoot…and of course, Kenneth took this one…*sigh*.  haha

I decided to play with a texture with this shot…love it!  She looks so peaceful here!

I finally got a grin out of Harlow…awwwwww!

These eyes…oh these eyes!  They just make my heart melt.  I think this is my favorite shot I took at the session!

Daddy’s little girl!

Love this shot of Ashley, too!

And finally, the whole family!

Ashley & Stephen – thanks so much for bringing Harlow up to see us!  We can’t wait to see her again in a couple of months and see how much she has grown!!

Much love,

Heather & Kenneth Mason

Christina – Bridal Session!

I am SOOOOO excited to finally be able to post these images!  A couple of months ago, Kenneth and I headed over to Madison, Georgia (near Athens, GA) to photograph Christina’s bridal session at her parent’s home and her aunt’s home.  Christina and Nathan got married yesterday (pictures soon to come from their wedding!), so now I get to share her gorgeous bridal portraits!

It’s pretty much impossible to take a bad picture of Christina, but I’m going to spare you all and not post ALL of the images we took!  Here are a few of our favorites:

I absolutely LOVE the details on Christina’s dress…it’s so unique and perfect for her!

The chaise and the draperies in Christina’s mother’s bedroom made for a fabulous background!

This is the image Christina chose to enlarge as a canvas gallery wrap to display at the wedding reception.  It looked stunning!

In this image, I think Christina looks like the Princess in the magical forest waiting for her Prince to come.  ;)

I hope you enjoyed seeing a few of our favorites!  We love photographing bridal sessions and engagement sessions!  It gives us a chance to work with the bride and groom, and I think Christina would agree that it helps make them more comfortable working with us on their wedding day!  Christina was an old pro at posing for the camera by her wedding day!

Much love to all!

Christie & Luke – Married!

A few weeks ago, we were thrilled to photograph the wedding of Christie and Luke.  They got married at a spectacular location – Neverland Farms in Cleveland, GA.  Their website doesn’t do justice to the beauty and perfection of Neverland…we were blown away, and I could quite happily photograph there every weekend.  The owner Suzy and her team did a fantastic job at running everything and seeing to every detail.  If you’re looking for a gorgeous outdoor destination wedding in Georgia, this is one of my favorites!

Now that I’m done gushing about Neverland Farms :D we’ll move on to Christie and Luke’s wedding story.  Here are a few of our favorite images from their day, but as always, be sure to check out their slideshow link at the bottom of this post to see more!

When we arrived at Neverland, it was overcast and a bit drizzly with a forecast for rain.  Right after Christie finished getting ready, the clouds parted and the sun peeked through and I was able to take some great photographs of Christie and the girls, and Kenneth was able to head outside to photograph Luke and the guys.

Unfortunately, the clouds started getting dark, and some mist and drizzle started falling not too long before the ceremony was to begin.  It would start, and then stop, and then start again.  After waiting for a few minutes to see if it would blow over, Christie decided that she was ready to get married, and if she got wet in the process that would be ok (have I mentioned yet that I adored Christie’s attitude!? because I totally did!).  So, she and the bridesmaids got on their horse-drawn carriage and we all headed to the garden where the ceremony was going to be held.  As soon as Christie started walking down the aisle to meet Luke, it started really raining…everyone got a bit damp in the process, but that was ok because Christie was still radiant, and they were still happy and married. Here are a couple of images from the ceremony.  I LOVED this image that Kenneth captured of Luke as Christie arrived at the ceremony…that’s not rain he’s wiping out of his eye! ;)   Every bride dreams of making her groom cry when he sees her…Christie pulled it off!

Here is my favorite image I took during the ceremony…I love the way the umbrellas frame Christie and Luke!

It actually stopped raining by the end of the ceremony, and we were able to take portraits outside.  We were taking family photos and this horse decided to visit with us!  Isn’t the setting beautiful?!  Fields, and split rail fences, and beautiful landscaping.  LOVE!

During their first dance, I noticed Christie playing with her new wedding ring, and got this shot:

Last but certainly not least, we grabbed Christie and Luke and went out for a few minutes after dark to take some portraits.  We love doing this whenever we get the chance!  It’s always so romantic and dramatic!  I had a hard time choosing a favorite, but this one just made my heart happy!

If you would like to see a lot more of this awesomely awesome wedding, check out the slideshow!  We have a really cool new slideshow program, and I *think* I found the perfect song for Christie and Luke’s wedding!  ***Check it out by CLICKING HERE***

Christie and Luke, thank you both so much for having us photograph your gorgeous mountain wedding!

Much love,

Heather & Kenneth Mason
