Maggie & Jason – Married!

We had the pleasure of photographing Maggie & Jason’s wedding right here in Macon, Georgia.  They got married at Ingleside Baptist Church, with the fabulous Mrs. Jayne Sawyer-Smith coordinating. Their reception was at Le Piada. Mike Whiddon did a fabulous job on the flowers and food. Maggie & Jason were a lot of fun to work with, as were their family & friends. So, on with the pictures!

First, let me just say that I was obsessed with the back of Maggie’s dress, and the simple lily in her hair was perfect!

The light inside the chapel was beautiful!

Maggie & Jason are just so cute together!!

Here is a collage with a few details!  The gorgeous (and tasty) cake was done by our friend Amanda of Amanda’s Cakery!

Maggie & Jason, thank you both for choosing us to capture your wedding day!

Much love to all!

Jennifer & Ross – Married!!

We were so thrilled to photograph this wedding a few weeks ago!  Jennifer & Ross got married right here in beautiful Macon, GA.  Their ceremony was at First Christian Church, with the reception at one of our favorite venues, The Blacksmith Shop. We met Jennifer & Ross through Logan, who was the maid of honor in Kelli & Zack’s wedding back in 2007  (I would post a link, but it was on our old blog). Logan ended up coordinating the wedding for Jennifer & Ross, and did a fantastic job. It’s always nice for us to see familiar faces at our weddings!  This was an awesome wedding for two simple reasons – Jennifer and Ross.  They were so calm, friendly, and such a pleasure to work with, and their friends and family were the same way.   It was the kind of wedding that went so smoothly, and was so stress-free that I was barely tired after 8 hours of shooting.

Ok, now, on with the pictures! Here are a few of our favorites, and a slide show with more images is below!

First up, a couple of collages with some of our favorite portraits!

We LOVED this picture from Jennifer & her Dad’s dance…they had practiced a dance step, and it was so sweet!

The outside courtyard area of the Blacksmith Shop makes a great location for one of our favorite things – night portraits!

Kenneth took this AMAZING image as Jennifer & Ross were making their big leave.  The guests were blowing bubbles, and all of the bubbles look like little stars.

Here is the slideshow with many more images from Jennifer & Ross’ fabulous wedding!

Jennifer & Ross – thank you both so much for choosing us to photograph your special day!  We loved working with you guys!

Much love,

Heather & Kenneth

Carlee is 1 – Portrait

I can’t believe that Carlee is already a year old!  You might remember that I was there when she was born,  and it has been so much fun seeing her grow and photographing the different stages she’s gone through.  Her mother, Lindsey, and I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous spring weather and the cherry blossom trees blooming for her session.  I hope you enjoy seeing how baby Carlee has grown into a little girl!

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures! I love sessions like this…where we just go play in the park, and get some great images full of personality as a result!

Much love to all!

Jada & J.C. – Married!!

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jada and J.C. right here in our hometown of Macon, Georgia.  The ceremony was at the gorgeous St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the reception was at The Armory Ballroom. Both were stunning venues, and served as fantastic settings for Jada & J.C.’s fabulous wedding!

Jada and J.C. have been together for 10 years, so it was a huge celebration as they made it official. J.C. is a baseball player and played for the Macon Braves, which is how these two lovebirds met. He’s originally from Venezuela, and it was exciting to see how many of his family members traveled all that way to be present at the wedding. Jada had some special touches of her own…I was totally in love with her wedding gown, but then she put the icing on the cake with a pair of leopard print high heels! I LOVE it when brides wear colorful and unusual shoes. The tear jerker of the evening – Jada had songs played and sang to honor her grandparents and her mother. There was a lot of sniffling going on!

Ok, enough of my rambling…on with the pictures, and as always, click the link at the bottom of the post to see the slideshow!

As you can see, Jada was stunning!

St. Joseph’s is a really beautiful building…I loved the reflection in the marble floor!

I loved the way the lights looked during Jada and J.C.’s first dance…there’s nothing like professional uplighting to really show off a venue!

The Armory Ballroom looked absolutely amazing with the lights!

Have you noticed that we love doing night shots?  Dark is the enemy of most photographers, but we LOVE it.  This is one of my favorite groom portraits ever…I told J.C. to look at me like he was ready to KILL me.  Bam – pure drama!

One more night shot to close the post…this is our favorite shot from the day, and is now a HUGE print in our studio!

Jada and J.C., thank you both so much for choosing us to photograph your wedding!  It was a huge honor to be part of the celebration!

Much love,
Heather & Kenneth Mason
